After getting our vaccine, we need a good food to boost our body so that our immune system can start building up. Our choice goes to Sumibi, a Japanese Restaurant that opens in 1 Park Residence, Gandaria. Those who live in Cikarang might heard about this place before. Yes, it is the same restaurant
The word Sumibi, in Japanese, means charcoal fire. So, just based on the name, we came here not for sushi or sashimi, but more for something that is grilled.
My choice of main course fall on Yuzu Shio Ramen. What else to energize the body with ramen in hot Yuzu broth, slice of grilled pork? Just from the smell of the broth, I feel that my immune system got a boost already.
The slice of pork in my ramen won’t definitely satisfy my belly. So, we ordered extra chasiu
Grace however, prefer something more conservative. The Beef Pepper Rice did feel like nasi goreng, the most conservative menu. It come with plenty of garlic, which I enjoyed a lot.
To accompany us while waiting for our food, we ordered Hotate Carpaccio. It is not just a regular carpaccio. The scallops was served with wasabi cream. It wasn’t too strong and overkill, just nice to taste.
Overall impression of the restaurant is that, Sumibi is no fuss Japanese Restaurant for quick food. They served alcohol also if one wanted to just stay for a while. But, even for quick lunch, the food is good, as expected from restaurant that established itself in the center of Japanese community in Cikarang.
