The Toraja Arabica beans were my favorite a couple of years ago. Its familiar light acidity and light body is enjoyable in the middle of busy day. So, when I found Arabica Toraja beans from Arutala, I was happily adding the beans to my stash.
First impression with the beans is that, it is darkly roasted. And upon closer look, there are few broken beans that still unfortunately still make it to the bag.
Anyway, lets see how the bean performed.

Brewed with standard 1:15 coffee:water ratio. As suspected, the roasted bean is too dark to be enjoyable. The signature light acid taste is no longer there. The brew also lose the sweetness at the end.
Blue Bottle Dripper
Brewed also with 1:15 ratio. In general, more enjoyable. The sweetness aftertaste is there.
French Press
The best way to brew Arutala Arabica Toraja so far. Brewed with 1:15 beans to water ratio, with steep time of 4 minutes. To reduce the bitterness, I reduced the water temperature to 90 degree celcius.
